Subscription Update Obituary

     Charles D. Kirkpatrick Jr., 76, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in the Life Care Center of Auburn.

     He leaves his wife of 52 years, Sharon H. (Mills) Kirkpatrick; two sons, Robert D. "Bob" Kirkpatrick of Worcester and David W. Kirkpatrick of Millbury; three grandchildren, Michelle J. Lundin and her husband, Jed of Sutton, Stephanie Lynn of Ohio and Michael D. Kirkpatrick of Millbury; two great grandsons, Randy Collins and Rylan Collins of Ohio. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Charles D. Kirkpatrick Sr. and Catherine (Bomba) Kirkpatrick and has lived in Millbury for 46 years.

     Mr. Kirkpatrick was a machinist at former Hultgren Manufacturing in Worcester and then he worked for Miles Builder in Millbury, until he retired. He also owned his own business, Kirk Enterprises in Millbury. Charles was an Army veteran from 1956 to 1959, stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas and Riverview, Michigan. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Millbury. He enjoyed going fishing and camping with his sons and grandson.

     His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 3rd in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 148 West Main St., Millbury, MA 01527.
