Subscription Update Obituary

     Catherine “Kay” D. (O’Leary) Ritchie, 83, of Worcester passed away on Sunday, March 4th at home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 59 years, Robert W. Ritchie passed away 7 months ago. She leaves her three sons, Brad Ritchie and his wife, Karen of Spencer, Francis Ritchie and Robert P. Ritchie both of Worcester; four daughters, Eileen Kramek and Cheryl Knowlton and her husband Kirk all of Worcester; Shirley Oleary of St. Petersburg, FL, Karen Ritchie and her husband, Thomas of Warren; two sisters, Marian of Portland, CT and Anne of Westborough; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, five sisters, three grandchildren, and a great grandson.
     Kay was born in Worcester, the daughter of Dennis and Julia (Shea) O’Leary. She worked at Presmet for many years and retired from the Jamesbury Corporation. She enjoyed traveling, vacationing and dining out.
     The funeral is Thursday, March 8th with a service at 10 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 7th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608 or to the Alzheimer’s Association , 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
