Carole A. (Boucher) Buchanan of Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by her family on May 17, 2024.
Carole was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mina (MacKenzie) Boucher of Worcester, MA. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Fred and Ron Boucher.
Another mention, Carole’s sister-in-law, Jeanne McGowan-Boucher (little sis) whom she adored and admired has always been a big help to all.
Carole grew up in Worcester, MA, and was a mother of three. Carole had extra love to share and was a foster mother to many, many children over the years. She stayed close to one of those children as well, Bertha Fabrizi, Western MA. Bert was not only in the earlier care of Carole but also a part of the family and remained close to us all. She is our sister. Her daughter Samantha and son Michael called Carole (Grammy Carole) when they were little.
Carole graduated Cum Laude from Clark University in Worcester, MA with a Bachelor of Science in 1983. Following her education, Carole worked for the Massachusetts Department of Disabilities for many years.
Carole leaves behind her daughter Lynda (Buchanan) Deschenes and son-in-law, Normand, as well as her son, Thomas Buchanan, all of Charlton, MA. Carole was predeceased by her oldest son, James Buchanan of Worcester, MA, in 2007. Carole also leaves behind her much-adored Grandson, Mark Brow of Athol and Great-Granddaughters, Allissa Brow of Athol and Kylie Brow, and her Great, Great Grandson, Bentley Clarke of Winchendon, MA. She also leaves behind nieces and a nephew. Carole will be sorely missed by all.
