Carol (Demars) Bruso, 76, of Worcester, died Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Quaboag Health Care Center in West Brookfield after an illness.
She is survived by sons Mark Bruso and his wife, Melisa, of Florida, and Michael Bruso, and his partner, Crystal, of NC, as well as grandchildren, Ryan, Caroline, and Ashley, one brother, Douglas Demars, and his wife, Lisa, of Worcester. She is also survived by a nephew, Christopher Riccio, and his wife Haley Riccio, of NYC, two nieces, Elizbeth Riccio of Boston, and Leanne Demars of Rutland, a great nephew, two great nieces, and several cousins. She also leaves her former husband, John Bruso, of Worcester. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Ferdinand and Phyllis Demars and a sister M. Christine Riccio of Worcester.
Having graduated from North High School, Carol dedicated her life to serving others. Starting as a dental hygienist then transitioning her focus to home health care, she always enjoyed bettering the life of others and many patients became her friends. When she retired, she continued her continuity of care as a member of the Guild of Our Lady of Providence where she participated in various fundraisers for the organization.
She loved to spend her free time trying out Worcester’s newest restaurants and traveling to the Cape to unwind but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Chiampa Funeral Home ~ 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, from 9:00 – 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. at St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross Street, Boylston. In keeping with the Covid-19 guidelines, all attendees are kindly asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing while at the funeral home and church.
