Carl E. Gentile, 77, died Monday, July 16, 2018 in Webster Manor. His wife of 50 years, Alice J. (Cormier) Gentile, died in 2014.
He leaves a daughter, Jane F. Andreoli and her husband Richard of Webster; 3 grandchildren, Amanda and Felicia Adams and Jessica Beland; 2 great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Riley; a brother, Mark Plouffe of Barre; a sister Joyce Ayik of Worcester; nephews and nieces. He also leaves his beloved dog Bo.
He was born and raised in Worcester, a son of Angelo and Eva (Wellin) Gentile. He moved to Webster in 1980.
Mr. Gentile worked for many years at Komtek Corporation in Worcester, retiring as a custodian in 2005.
Mr. Gentile was a member of the Webster Senior Center. He enjoyed playing bingo and cards, golfing, bowling and spending time at Webster Lake.
The funeral will be held Saturday, July 21, at 10:00 AM in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visitation will be from 8:45 to 10:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home, prior to the service. Donations in his name may be made to Webster Senior Center, 350 Main Street, Webster, MA 01570.
