Subscription Update Obituary

     Brian P. Diaz, 29, of Worcester, died suddenly on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves twin daughters, Brianna and Julianna Diaz; his parents, Luis A. Diaz, Jr. and Patricia A. (Mahoney) Diaz; a brother Matthew L. Diaz; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Mahoney; paternal grandparents, Luis and Doreen Diaz; paternal great grandmother, Evarista Diaz and his paternal great grandfather, Cirillo Diaz. Brian also leaves many aunts and uncles, including his uncle Rene Diaz, who was like a brother to him, cousins, and many special friends who held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his loving maternal grandfather, John Mahoney.
     Brian was born in Worcester, graduated from South High School and Rob Roy Academy. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church. Brian was a professional barber and owned and operated Who’s Next Barber Shop. He was passionate about his business and was very good at what he did. When not at work, Brian loved spending time with his family, friends and especially with his beautiful daughters. He loved visiting Hampton Beach and Old Orchard Beach.
     Visiting hours are Sunday, September 29 from 12-3 PM at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street. Brian’s Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 30 at St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Please gather directly at church. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diaz Children Fund which has been established at Bank of America. Donations can be made at any local branch or mailed to Bank of America, 638 Chandler St., Worcester, MA 01602. Please reference Brianna and Julianna’s name with account ending in X2978 on all donations.
