Subscription Update Obituary

     Blanche A. Bergstrom, 91, passed away Tuesday, May 13th at Millbury Healthcare. Blanche’s husband of 43 years, Carl W. Bergstrom passed away in 1989. She leaves three sons, Phillip C. Bergstrom and his wife Sandy of Auburn, Paul R. Bergstrom and his wife Sharon and Stephen A. Bergstrom all of Millbury; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Blanche’s grandson, Phillip Bergstrom, brother, George Zakas and two sisters, Alice Chapulis and Rita Zakas predeceased her.

     Blanche was born in Worcester the daughter of Joseph and Adella (Boterius) Zakas. She worked at L. Farber Co. for 24 years retiring in 1990. After retiring, she did volunteer work as a senior companion for the age center. She enjoyed doing flower craft as a hobby.

     Visiting hours for Blanche will be held on Monday, May 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20th at 10:00 am in the funeral home followed by burial at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association , 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472.
