Beverly M. (Price) Levicie, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully Friday, June 8th at home in Plainfield, N.J. with her husband of 51 years, Robert M. Lewis, Jr. at her side.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Elwood "Barney" Price, Sr., and Muriel E. (Anderson) Price. She leaves her daughter, Bobbie Ann Levicie of Irvington, N.J. A 1953 graduate of North High School in Worcester, and a 1957 graduate from Lincoln School of Nursing, Bronx, NY. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Jersey City State College, Jersey City, N.J. Beverly was recognized for the special touch and care she gave to her patients. She specialized in Pediatrics.
Besides, her husband and daughter, Beverly is survived by two sisters: Muriel B. (Price) Geter of Worcester and Geraldine C. Jackson of Los Angeles, CA; five brothers: Elwood B. "Bunny" Price, Jr. and his companion, Philip C. Price, Sr. and his wife Louise, Gerald C. Price, Sr. and his wife Annie, Kenneth S. Price, all of Worcester, Rev. Thomas E. Price and his wife Paula of Hillside, N.J; a grandson, Trey A. Washington of Shrewsbury; many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Douglas M. Geter II of Worcester. A brother, Richard "Rickey" Price, predeceased her.
Beverly was a life member of the VFW Post Women's Auxiliary. While in Worcester, she was a member of Belmont St. A.M.E. Zion Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
