Subscription Update Obituary

     Beverly J. Carey, 78, of West Boylston passed away February 3, 2012 at UMass/Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after a brief illness.

     She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Edythe (Parker) Carey. Survived by 2 sisters, Marilyn Johnson and Carolyn Eaton, both of Shrewsbury; a nephew, Donald Johnson and his wife Lisa and Laura and Bethanie Johnson of Boylston; a niece, Nancy Eaton and nephew, the late Russell Eaton, both of Shrewsbury; 1 aunt, Shirley Beliunas of Auburn; 1 uncle, Everett Parker of Florida and several cousins.

     She was born and brought up in Holden. Graduate of David Hale Fanning High School and was employed for over 40 years at Edward St. Day Care Center and several years at Goddard School. She took up rug hooking with Pearl McGown, enjoyed knitting and gardening.

     She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church.

     A calling hour will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Howard C. Allen Funeral Home, 653 Main St., Shrewsbury with a funeral service immediately following at 11 A.M. in the funeral home and burial at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or West Boylston Ambulance Fund.
