Bertha L. (Goding) Lavalle, 66, of 9 Lillian Ave, in the Rochdale section of Leicester, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 in the Rosa Monahan Hospice Home after an illness.

Her husband, Lloyd A. Lavalle died in 2006. She leaves a son, Frederick Rogers of Brookfield, three daughters, Rae-Marie Blair with whom she lived, Mae Ireland of Oxford and April White of Douglas, a step-son, Ernest Lavalle of Oxford, four step-daughters, Theresa Cameron of Rutland, Jo-Anne Lavalle of Oxford, Kathleen Jones of Leicester and Elaine Fort of Rutland, two brothers Frederick Goding of Oxford and Robert Goding of Knoxville, TN, a sister, Carolyn McCarthy of Leicester, 20 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two step-sons, Lloyd and Allen Lavalle.

Mrs. Lavalle was born in Worcester, daughter of Llewellyn and Mabel (Gilbert) Goding. She was an inspector at Interstate Specialties in Whitinsville for 20 years retiring in 2006. She enjoyed bingo, casinos and computer gaming. She belonged to the Century Sportsman’s Club pitch league in Auburn.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of North Oxford, 612 Main Street, North Oxford. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday from 4:00-6:00 PM in MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to VNA Care Network & Hospice, Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608 or to First Baptist Church of North Oxford, P.O.
