Subscription Update Obituary

   Bernard L. Daoust, 83, of 21 Lincoln St., died Thursday, Sept. 4 at Life Care Center of Auburn. He was the husband of Marie A. (Begin) Daoust who died in 1991.

   He leaves a son, David E. Daoust and his wife Susan of Holden; three daughters, Jeanne M. Burdette and her husband Paul of Auburn, Suzanne C. Bloom and her husband Paul of W.Brookfield and Michelle T. Giovaninni and her husband Michael of Feeding Hills; a sister, Vivian Mondor and her husband Roland in N.H.; four grand and three great grandchildren, several step grand and step great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by 6 brothers and sisters.

   Mr. Daoust was a longtime carpenter with Rene Daoust Construction Co., the Carpenter's Union in Worcester and Albert Daoust. He later worked in the Maintenance Dept. at David Prouty High School for 10 years, before retiring in 1990. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Mary,Queen of the Rosary Parish and the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138 American Legion in Spencer.

   The funeral will be held on Monday, Sept. 8 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, Sept. 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to V.N.A.
