Bernardeen O. (Smith) Rochette, 68, of Grove Street, Paxton, died in her home after a long illness. She leaves her husband, Edmond R. Rochette; a son, Michael J. Rochette of Berlin; two daughters, Melanie A. Rochette of Rutland and Penelope S. Gambino of Bolyston. Also a sister, Ann Roberts of Paxton, five grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Jane E. Michalak who died in July 13, 1989.

   Mr. and Mrs. Rochette were married in October 1947. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Bernard and Gurdren (Johnson) Smith and lived here for 52 years. Mrs. Rochette graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester in 1942. She was a dental technician and later vice president of E.R. Rochette Laboratory Inc. in Worcester, where she worked for 50 years. She loved to entertain family and friends in her home. And traveled to the Caribbean Islands and Europe with her best friend, "Sis" Edith Grout.
