Subscription Update Obituary

   Beatrice E. (L'Heureux) McCarthy, 88, of 9 Mill St., died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Quaboag on the Common in West Brookfield. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Henry and Flora (Belleville) L'Heureux, and lived in Wheelwright for 56 years. She graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester.

   Beatrice was a stitcher at the former William Carter Co. in Gilbertville before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Augustine Mission Church in Wheelwright where she sang in their choir, and also in the choirs of other local churches for several years. She loved to read, garden and do crossword puzzles.

   Beatrice is survived by her son, Thomas F. McCarthy and his wife Beverly of Ware; her grandchildren, Thomas C. McCarthy and his wife Carol of North Brookfield, Darin P. McCarthy and his wife Hilary, and Nicole C. Bartley and her husband Chris all of Jefferson; her great-grandchildren, Kelly A. McCarthy, Sean P. McCarthy and Casey S. Bartley; and many nephews and nieces, including Barbara Nordstrom of South Barre. She also leaves her cats, Sara and Patches.

   Beatrice was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick McCarthy in 2004; her daughter, Patricia McCarthy in 2005; her brother, Raymond L'Heureaux in 2008; her sister, Florence Lameroux in 1999; and her great-grandson, Steven McCarthy in 2006.

   Her funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008, from the Cebula Funeral Home, Ware, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m in St. Augustine Mission Church, Wheelwright. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held Wednesday starting at 9 a.m., prior to her funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Spencer Animal Control, c/o Carol Gaucher, 22 Norcross Rd., Spencer, MA 01562.
