Beatrice C. (Chevrefils) Rice, 75, of Charlton, died Sunday June 6, 2010 in her home. Her husband of 41 years, Richard T. Rice died in 2001.

    She leaves a daughter, Marie Rice-Brunelle and her husband, Alan, of Charlton; two sons: Lawrence T. Rice of Charlton and Richard M. Rice and his wife, Sandra, of Ormond Beach, FL; four grandchildren: Timothy Brunelle, Michael Brunelle and Kristen Brunelle, all of Charlton, and Trevor Sullivan of Orlando, FL; a brother, Roland Chevrefils, Jr., and his wife, Susan, of Sagamore Beach; a sister, Barbara Chevrefils of Shrewsbury and a nephew, David Chevrefils. She was born and raised in Worcester, a daughter of Roland E. and Beatrice E. (Livsey) Chevrefils and has lived in Charlton for 38 years.

    Mrs. Rice worked as an adminstrative assistant many years for Allegro MicroSystems, Inc. and retired several years ago. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and Salter Secretarial School. Beatrice was a member of St. Joseph Church, Charlton. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, senior trips and loved caring for and being with her grandchildren and going on family trips.

    The funeral will be held on Friday, June 11 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd Ext. Charlton. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held Friday, June 11 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
