Barbara R. (McCann) Myers, 90, of Auburn, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 in UMass Memorial Hospital.
Her husband of 64 years, Virgil E. Myers, died in 2007. She leaves two sons: Thomas J. Myers and his wife, Patricia, of Cumberland, RI and Robert P. Myers of Auburn; two brothers: William McCann of Shrewsbury and James McCann of Worcester; and two granddaughters: Jennifer and Lindsay Myers. Her brother, Richard McCann and two sisters, Eleanor Lavaille and Bernice Corey predeceased her.
Mrs. Myers was born in Worcester, the daughter of Winfield J. and Sadie (Herman) McCann. She obtained her nursing degree and was a nurse in the Maternity Ward, Nursery and Pediatric ICU at St. Vincent Hospital. Mrs. Myers was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling and reading.
Funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
