Subscription Update Obituary

Barbara (Hubley) Mead, 89, of Melbourne, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at the William Childs Hosice House, Palm Bay, FL.

Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years Roy Kester Mead and all her brothers and sister. She is survived by her children, Roberta (Norman) LeMoine, Ronald Mead and Jeffrey Mead, loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Barbara heeded the call to duty and joined the Woman’s Army Corp during WWII. She was stationed in Vienna, Austria, and upon her return she graduated from Boston University. After raising her family Barbara worked as a clerk for the Probate Division at the court house for many years.

Barbara was an active member of Pakachoag Chapter #224 OES, now Stella chapter, and the Boston University Club. As a member of All Saints Episcopal Church she taught church school, was a member of lay readers, altar guild and Nenana.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, October 3rd at 11 AM in the All Saints Episcopal Church, 10 Irving Street, Worcester. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
