Barbara L. (Papineau) Hearnlaye, 79, of 271 No.Main St., died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Rochdale. She was the wife of John "Charlie" Hearnlaye who died in 1990.

    She leaves her daughter, Patricia A. Moran and her husband Michael of E.Brookfield; her grandsons, Jeffrey C. McNaney of Clayton, N.C., and Shawn C. McNaney of E.Brookfield; two brothers, Robert Papineau of No.Brookfield and John Papineau of Ware; her son-in-law's mother, Marjorie A. (Lobotta) Moran of Shrewsbury, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son-in-law, Jeffrey A. McNaney in 2004.

    Barbara worked at the former Brookfield Athletic Shoe Co. in E.Brookfield for many years. She later worked at the E.Brookfield Transfer Station.

    Born in Franklin, she was the daughter of John and Delia Papineau.

    Calling hours will be held in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Private burial will be at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
