Subscription Update Obituary

   Barbara J. (Wagner) Bashaw, 71, of Holden, died surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 13, 2008, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after a long battle with cancer.

   She leaves two sons, Robert L. Bashaw and his wife Roseann of Rochdale and Paul A. Bashaw and his wife LuJean of Holden; a daughter, Sally A. Jason and her husband Joseph of Shrewsbury; four sisters, Doris Urbanovich of Oakham, Olive Contois of California, Mary Trudeau and her husband Roy of Westboro and Ruth Ricci of New Hampshire; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. A brother and 4 sisters predeceased her.

   Barbara was born in Holden, the daughter of Silas F. and Gertrude P. (Palmer) Wagner, and lived in Holden all of her life. She was a graduate of Holden High School and worked as a Dietician at Holden District Hospital for many years. After her retirement, she volunteered at the Fallon Clinic in both Holden and Worcester.

   Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. The funeral service for Barbara will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
