Subscription Update Obituary

   Barbara Elaine (MacGregor) McKenney, 81 of 1 Dixfield Road, Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, surrounded by her family.

   She was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Boston, MA. Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth, in 1988, and her stepson, Kenneth D. McKenney, who was killed in action in the Vietnam war in 1966.

   She is survived by her children: James McKenney and his wife Denise of Hubbardston; Christine Paul & her husband Steven of Barre, and Dorothy Power and her husband Thomas, of Hubbardston. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, James McKenney of Lunenburg, Tawnya Harding of Barre, and Meghann McKenney of Hubbardston; Chantel and Zachary Paul of Barre, Kenneth Goodnow, Shayne & T.J. Power of Hubbardston. Barbara also has 4 Great-Grandchildren, William & Katherine McKenney of Lunenburg and Brandyn & Madisyn Harding of Barre.

   Barbara spent most of her life raising her children and grandchildren prior to entering the workforce. She worked part time for the City of Worcester Public School Dept. as a cafeteria worker at Burncoat Middle School. She also volunteered at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Worcester. She loved to dance and was an avid dancer at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Worcester. Barbara also enjoyed Bingo and going to Foxwoods Casino. She was a long standing member of St. Christopher's Church in Worcester. Barbara was a loving, caring, and very generous person always donating to charities. Above all she loved spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren.

   In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, The VNA Hospice Care, or the Vietnam Memorial Trust Fund. The calling hours are Tues., Nov. 27th from 4-7 at Caswell King Funeral Home on Main St. in Holden and Funeral Services at St. Christopher's Church on Wed., Nov. 28th at 10:00 a.m.
