Barbara E. Battelle, 59, died Monday Dec. 18, in Dartmouth Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H with her family by her side. Ms. Battelle was predeceased by her mother Mary E. (Bertone) Battelle who passed away in August of 1991.
She is survived by her father Richard K. Battelle and her stepmother Jean (Catino) Battelle of Worcester; and 1 sister, Michele M. Battelle of Sterling, MA. Her brother Richard P. Battelle died July 2, 2006.
Barbara was born in Worcester November 23, 1947. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and The University of Massachusetts. Barbara was a registered Psychiatric Nurse at the Retreat Center in Brattleboro, Vermont. She lived in Worcester before moving to Vermont 7 years ago.
Her funeral will be held Friday Dec. 22, from LOUIS FAZIO & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. with a Mass at 9:30 a.m in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Church, 23 Mulberry St. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be Thursday Dec. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to U.Mass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605 or Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Church Building Fund, 23 Mulberry St., Worcester, MA 01605.
