Subscription Update Obituary

    Barbara A. (Callaway) Macera, 77, of Moreland Street, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Saint Vincent Hospital.

    She leaves her husband of 54 years, William P. Macera; two sons, Kenneth P. Macera and his wife Cheryl of Holden and William P. Macera and his wife Kathleen of Paxton; a sister, Betty Votta of Warwick, RI; five grandchildren, Kali, Matthew, Laura, James and Thomas; two great-granddaughters; several nephews and nieces, and many friends. She was born in Warwick, RI the daughter of Willis T. and Florence (Carlson) Callaway and lived 54 years in Worcester.

    Mrs. Macera was the secretary/treasurer for KRM Enterprises in Worcester for over 20 years. She was a member of Christ the King Church in Worcester. All who knew Barbara labeled her as the sweetest and most caring person they ever knew.

    A private funeral service will be held in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association , 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. The family asks that everyone say a prayer and keep Barbara in their thoughts throughout this holiday season.
