Subscription Update Obituary

     Barbara A. Chevrefils, 77, of Shrewsbury, died Monday May 12, 2014 in the Life Care Center of Auburn.

     Barbara leaves her brother, Roland E. Chevrefils, Jr., and his wife Susan of Melbourne Beach, Fl., her niece and caregiver, Marie Rice – Brunelle of Charlton; and two nephews, David Chevrefils and Richard M. Rice. She is also survived by grand nephews, Timothy Brunelle, Michael Brunelle and Trevor Sullivan, and her grand niece and Godchild, Kristen Brunelle. She was predeceased by a sister, Beatrice C. Rice and a nephew, Lawrence T. Rice. Barbara was born in Worcester, a daughter of Beatrice E. (Livsey) and Roland E. Chevrefils, Sr., and lived in Shrewsbury for more than 60 years.

     Ms. Chevrefils worked in computer operations 33 years for New England Power Service and retired in 1998. She was a graduate of the former Commerce High School, Worcester. Barbara was a member of St. Anne’s Church and volunteered at the Shrewsbury Senior Center and helped prepare home delivered meals.

     The funeral will be held on Saturday May 17, 2014 with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Anne Church, 130 Boston Turnpike. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne Human Services, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, Ma., 01545. There are no calling hours. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester has care of the funeral arrangements.
