Subscription Update Obituary

     Barbara A. (Lupien) Brigham, 78, died peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2013, under the loving care of her family and the staff at Odd Fellows Home in Worcester. Born in Freeport, Maine, Barbara was raised in Paxton, the daughter of Everett T. and Isabelle (Bachand) Lupien and later lived in Grafton. After the death of her husband, Louis Brigham, she moved back to Paxton, later moving to Holden in 1980.

     Barbara was a member of the first graduating class at Wachusett Regional High School. She will be remembered most for her love of animals, especially her love for dogs. She also was known for her love of doing crafts & quilting, as well as antiquing and flea markets with Ernie.

     Her husband, Louis Brigham died in 1976. She leaves a stepson, Edward Brigham of Grafton; a stepdaughter, Leslye A. Warner and her husband, William of Holden; two step-grandchildren, Karl Warner of St. Lois, Missouri and Ashley Warner Zander of Worcester; a great-grandchild, Holden Warner; a niece, Diane Mullaney of Paxton; two cousins, Caroline Prout and her husband, Robert of Grafton and Barbara Carney of New York; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Lupien of Paxton. She is predeceased by a brother, Everett Lupien, and her longtime companion, Ernie E. Mongeon, who died in 2009.

     Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Barbara’s family from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a procession to St. Columba Church, 10 Richards Ave., Paxton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Veterans, Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605 or MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
