Avis A. (Hannum) McGinn Johnson, 87, of Providence Pike, North Smithfield, died Friday, April 11, 2008 in Bayberry Commons, Burrillville, RI.  She was the wife of Allen E. Johnson whom she married July 17, 1976, and the late Philip J. McGinn. Born in Worcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harrie E. and Hilda (Watts) Hannum.

   She worked as a Sales Clerk for M.P. Benson, Holden, MA until 1976.

   Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband Allen, three daughters, Paula A. Geene of Jefferson, MA, Carey E. McGinn of Worcester, and Lisa M. Goodwin of N. Smithfield and three step-children, Jeffrey Johnson of Green Bay, WI, Steven Johnson of N. Smithfield, and Rebecca Zalewski of Columbia, SC., as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

   Her funeral, with one hour of visitation, will be held Tuesday, April 15, at 11AM, with a service at noon in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St, Woonsocket.  Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA.
