Aurore Y. (Beaudreau) Hamelin, 88, of Spencer, died Wednesday, Nov. 13th at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge after a brief illness. She was the wife of Joseph A. Hamelin who died in 2012, her first husband Roger R. Audette, died in 1998.

She leaves her son; Keith R. Audette and his wife Sharon of E.Brookfield, her daughters; Christine M. Simakauskas and her husband Stephen of Spencer, Darlene L. Parsons and her husband Robert of E.Brookfield and Charlene A. Audette of Auburn, her sister; Madeleine Cloutier of Spencer, her step daughters; Elizabeth A. Hamelin of Carlsbad, Calif and Marcia J. Hamelin and her husband Dennis Tracey of Weston, Ct., 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as many remaining friends, especially from Howe Village. She is predeceased by her sister; Lorraine Fontaine.
Aurore worked many years in the Assessors Office for the Town of Spencer prior to working for Arbella Insurance before  her retirement in 1998.

She was born in Spencer, the daughter of Aldore and Aurore (Raymond) Beaudreau and later graduated from David Prouty High School in 1954. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish. She enjoyed vacationing in Maine, her trips to the casino and time with family, especially her grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Nov.22 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
