Subscription Update Obituary

     Arthur R. Cofske, 82, formerly of Brigham Road, died Monday, May 7, 2012 at home.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Eileen H. (Cooper) Cofske; two sons, Robert A. Cofske and his wife Donna of Worcester and Stephen M. Cofske and his wife Kathy of Deland, FL; three daughters, Mary-Ellen Nienstadt and her husband Thomas of Hamstead, NC, Sheila M. Sullivan and her husband Joseph of Worcester and Julie A. Benoit of Worcester and ten grandchildren, Mark, Shannon, Eric and Colleen Cofske, Stephen Cofske, Jr., Bridget, Mikaela and Patrick Sullivan and Jackson and Matthew Benoit. He also leaves three brothers, M. Laurie Cofske in Maryland, David W. Cofske of Millbury and Ralph Cofske of North Grosvenordale, CT; a sister Nancy L. Scappaticci of Holden and many nephews and nieces. A sister Beverly A. Handfield predeceased him.
     Arthur was born in Millbury, son of Norman and Sally (Patala) Cofske and graduated from Millbury High School and New England School of Accounting. He worked for TJX Corporation for 25 years before retiring. Arthur was a long time member of Christ the King Church, Knights of Columbus-Council# 12691, and a member and past president of the Greendale Retired Men’s Club.
     The funeral will be held on Friday, May 11 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10 AM at Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Thursday, May 10 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salvation Army Citadel Corp., 630 Main Street, Worc., MA 01608 or Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St., Worc., MA 01602.
