Subscription Update Obituary

Arthur Alan Larson, 72, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at home. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Carol A. (Tuveson) Larson; two sons, Kurt E. Larson and his wife, Judy, of Sudbury and Craig A. Larson of Winchendon; a brother, Edwin R. Larson of Coquille, OR; three nieces and two nephews.

He was born in Worcester, son of Edwin and Lempi (Altonen) Larson. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade and attended Worcester Junior College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving with the Seabees. He was a Union Superintendent Carpenter for many years, a member of Carpenter’s Local 107, Morning Star/Guiding Light Lodge, Scottish Rite and York Rite Bodies, Aleppo Temple, Worcester County Shrine Club, the Navy Seabee Veterans of America, and the Retired Men’s Club of Greendale. He received his 33rd degree in Free Masonry in 1997 in Grand Rapids, MI. Arthur enjoyed traveling with his wife and was a dedicated and loving father.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Members of Morning Star Lodge will conduct their ritual at 6:00 PM during calling hours. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Masonic Learning Center, One Ionic Ave., Worcester MA 01608 or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
