Arthie O. (Clark) Burke, 90, of Worcester, died Tuesday, June 10th in Christopher House Nursing Center. Her husband, Albert G. Burke, died in 1973. She leaves a son, Wayne Burke and his children, Wayne Jr. and Michael; a step-daughter, Penny Burke Sechrest and her husband Bill; a good friend, Kate Strum; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a step-son, Brad Burke, a daughter in law, Gloria Burke, and her longtime companion, John Voellings.

     She was born in Mayo. FL, the daughter of Terry P. and Donnie (McInnis) Clark and lived here for many years. She worked at the former Thom McAn for many years and was the first female manager in the company; she truly was a leader in her profession. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staffs of the Christopher House and Jewish Hospice for the care they provided.

     Mrs. Burke’s burial will be held privately. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Arthie’s memory be made to Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Drive, Worcester, MA 01605. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is assisting with arrangements.
