Subscription Update Obituary

     Arlene E. (Matulis) Stalilonis, 89, of Oakland, ME, formerly of Worcester, died Friday, February 25, 2011 in Inland Hospital, Waterville, ME. Her husband of 44 years, Bernard P. Stalilonis, died in 1985.

     She leaves four sons: Bernard P. Stalilonis, Jr. and his wife Karen of Lakeland, FL, Robert P. Stalilonis and his wife Angele Patenaude of Biddeford, ME, William S. Stalilonis and his wife Kathleen of Worcester and Peter J. Stalilonis of Oakland, ME; a brother, Walter Matulis of Upton; nine grandchildren; a great granddaughter; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sisters, Nellie Chuplis and Ann Roman.

     She was born in the Morningdale section of Boylston, the daughter of Peter and Monica (Mans Laskey) Matulis and lived in Worcester for most of her life. Mrs. Stalilonis was an engraver for the former Woodbury Company. She was an active member of Christ the King Church and enjoyed candlepin bowling and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

     The funeral is Wednesday, March 2nd from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, March 1st from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
