Subscription Update Obituary

    Antonio P.N. "Nick" Maiorano Jr., 89, of 7 Deer Pond Drive, a Navy veteran and a retired production manager, died Tuesday, May 2, in Worcester Medical Center after a long illness.

    He leaves his wife of 46 years, Rose A. (Sabella) Maiorano; a son, Antonio P.N. Maiorano III of Auburn; two brothers, Arthur Maiorano of Citrus Hills, Fla., and Gilbert Franco of Worcester; three sisters, Frances Cogley, Marie Lundy and Rose Bechard, all of Worcester; nieces and nephews. 
 
   
He was born in Marlboro, son of Antonio P.N. Sr. and Josephine (Pirro) Maiorano, and moved to Worcester in 1955. He moved to Leicester in 1959. He served 22 years in the Navy Reserve and was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in a construction battalion.

    Mr. Maiorano was a production manager at New England Manufacturing, Worcester, for 40 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member and eucharistic minister at St. Joseph's Church. He was a member and former longtime commander of the Cherry Valley Post 443 American Legion, the Worcester Lodge of Elks and the Worcester Disabled American Veterans.

    The funeral will be held Friday, May 5, from Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 759 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
