Antoinette J. “Toni” (DeNicola) Koki, 82, of Worcester, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Rose Monahan Hospice.
Her husband of 53 years, Alfred S. Koki, died March 29, 2007.
She leaves two daughters, Cheryl Koki, her husband Bill Shipman and their son Will Shipman of Shrewsbury, and Kathy Mayo, her husband David Mayo and their children Emily and Samuel Mayo of Rutland; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Koki was predeceased by five siblings and recently by her nephew Keith Adams.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Giuseppe and Carmela (Maiorano) DeNicola. She was a graduate of Commerce High School.
Mrs. Koki worked in the Registrar’s Office at Quinsigamond Community College from 1977 to 2010. Previously, she worked at Clark University.
She was a member of the 1895 Book Club.
Her grandchildren were the apples of her eye, and she loved spending time with them and buying them Beanie Babies when they were young. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the world, her place in Wells, Maine, reading and knitting.
Calling hours are Sunday, October 9 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral service will be Monday, October 10 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
