Annette L. (Pepe) Long, 86, a longtime Auburn resident, died peacefully on Friday, July 16th, 2010 in Radius Healthcare Center in Worcester.

    Her husband of 49 years, Arnold H. Long died in 1994. She leaves her children, Polly Lou Thompson and Doris M. Lewis, both of Worcester; four grandchildren, Holly Keohane and her husband, Paul of Oxford, Lena Marie Bumgarner, Jennifer Bumgarner and Clyde Bumgarner all of Florida and three great grandchildren, Sarah and Sean Keohane of Oxford and Selena Bumgarner of Florida; also survived by her three siblings, Rose Arico of Boston, Carmela Marciano of Medford and James Pepe of Boston. She was predeceased by a son, Samuel J. Long.

    Annette was born and raised in Boston, daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Porcaro) Pepe and had attended Boston Schools. She later moved to Auburn, where she enjoyed raising her family. She had been a resident of Auburn for more than 50 years.

    Annette had been employed for over 30 years and then retired from the Worcester Envelope Company.

    Annette's family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of Summit Elder Care for all of the compassionate care shown to Annette and support for her family during her illness.

    Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Annette's family on Sunday, July 18th, from 3-5 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral will be held on Monday, July 19th from the funeral home with a funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA.
