Subscription Update Obituary

     Anne M. (Matsen) Girouard, 91, of West Boylston passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the Sterling Village.
     Her husband of 53 years, Alfred J. Girouard died in 1995. She leaves a daughter, Joan M. Greece and her husband James of Lisbon, ME; a son, John B. Girouard of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Patricia (Avery) Novak and her companion James Field, Kelly (Avery) Moniz and her husband George of Saunderstown, RI, Tracy (Avery) Mattison and her husband John of West Boylston and Bradford, Brendan and Sally Girouard all of Plymouth; seven, great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Zachary, Jacob, Sarah, Meghan and Mackenzie; two sons in law, Vincent Pizzotti and Calvin Akstin; a daughter in law, Patricia Girouard and nieces and nephews. Two daughters, Janice A. Pizzotti and Jeanne F. Akstin predeceased her. She was born in Bridgeport, CT daughter of Gustave and Christine (Muse) Matsen and was educated in the Bridgeport School system.
     Anne was a secretary and phlebotomist for many years at Medical Art Laboratory. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Anne enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods and Paris, France. She especially liked visiting the ocean, beaches and lighthouses of Maine.
     The Funeral will be held Wednesday, April 3, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, April 2, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the activity fund at the Sterling Village, 18 Dana Hill Rd., Sterling, 01564.
