Subscription Update Obituary

Anna H. (Fitzgerald) Flattery, 88, of Worcester, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in The Golden Living Center-Hermitage. Her husband of 52 years, Henry A. Flattery, died in 2007.

She leaves four sons: Stephen W. Flattery and his wife Francine, David J. Flattery and his wife Denise, and Richard B. Flattery all of Worcester, and John H. Flattery and his wife Terri of Oxford; a daughter, Mary A. Rochette and her husband David of Worcester; six grandchildren; two great granddaughters; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by five brothers: John, Edward, William, Paul, and Robert Fitzgerald. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John and Ellen (McGahey) Fitzgerald and graduated from South High School.

Mrs. Flattery was a kitchen aide at the Providence House Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church.

The funeral is Saturday, October 1st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, September 30th from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Contributions in Anna’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association , 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
