Subscription Update Obituary

Ann T. (DiSilvestri) Vecchion, 74, of 14 Caprera Road, died Monday, Sept. 10, in Saint Vincent Medical Center after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 54 years, John Vecchion: three sons, Joseph, Gary and Ronald Vecchio, all of Worcester: a brother, Dominic DiSilvestri of Worcester: four sisters, Michelina Sarkisian, Eleanor Wallace and Grace Mahaoney, all of Worcester, and Rose Auger of Milford: six grandchildren: nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Felix and Caroline (Riccardi) DiSilvetri, and graduated form Worcester Girls Trade School.

Mrs. Vecchio worked more than 12 years for the City of Worcester at the Belmont Home, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12 from Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oncology Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, Worcester Center Blvd., Worcester, MA 01604.
