Subscription Update Obituary

    Ann M. (Paquette) Burns, 79, of Auburn, died Friday, February 19th in her home surrounded by her loving family.

    She leaves the father of her four children, Thomas J. Burns, Jr; two sons, Kevin T. Burns and his wife Mary of Yarmouth, ME, and Brian D. Burns and his wife Barbara of Auburn; two daughters, Kathleen A. Sullivan and her husband Michael of Oxford, and Tracy A. Burns and Mark Akey of Dudley; two brothers, William Paquette and his wife Brenda of Auburn and Robert Paquette and his wife Toni of Salt Lake City, UT; a sister, Suzanne Ryan of Fort Walton Beach, FL; six grandchildren; 2 great grandsons; nephews and nieces.

    She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Heeran) Paquette and graduated from South High School and the Worcester Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Burns was a registered nurse for many years at Memorial Hospital and Harrington Memorial Hospital, before retiring. She was a member of North American Martyrs Church and the Auburn Senior Center.

    The funeral is Tuesday February 23rd from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ann's memory may be made to UMass – Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605 or Auburn Senior Center, 4 Goddard Drive, Auburn, MA 01501.
