Subscription Update Obituary

     Ann I. (Berthiaume) Quinn, 78, of Worcester passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
     Ann leaves her husband of 57 years, Leo R. Quinn; six children, Eileen M. Ramos and her husband, Jose of Leicester, Julia A. Kitka and her husband, Barry of Thompson, CT, Joseph F. Quinn and his wife, Karina of Upton, Kathryn L. Parker and her husband, Gregory of Hudson, Justine Q. Wahlstrom and her husband, Scott of Jefferson, and Peter L. Quinn and his wife, Shannon of Plymouth; a brother, Edmond Berthiaume of Auburn; a sister, Judith Fitzgibbons of Londonderry, NH; twelve grandchildren; a great-grand-daughter; nieces and nephews. A brother, Paul Berthiaume, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, son of Rene and Agnes (Riel) Berthiaume and graduated from South High School.
     Ann, along with her husband Leo, have co-chaired the operations Worcester County St. Patrick’s Parade for over 27 years. Ann has opened up her home to host countless mailing parties, line-up meetings and cookouts over the years. She was well known for her culinary delights and her great skill at knitting and crocheting. Ann had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. Ann’s greatest accomplishment in life was raising her wonderful six children. Her goodness and concern for others touched all whom have been privileged to have known her. Ann was a member of Christ the King Church, the Pioneer Partners and volunteered for the Special Olympics.
     The family would like to extend a special thank you to the VNA Care Hospice for all their loving care and support.
     A Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 7, from CALLAHAN AN FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park. Visiting Hours are Monday, May 6, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester County St. Patrick Parade Committee PO Box, 20708 or the Worcester Hibernian Cultural Foundation, PO Box, 20276, both Worcester, MA 01602.
