Ann E. (Tripp) Barrett, 86, passed away peacefully August 19, 2018. Her husband Thomas N. Barrett passed away in 2003. Ann was born February 21, 1932 in Worcester, daughter of the late Elizabeth (Carter) and Clarence Tripp and was the last surviving of 14 siblings. She leaves many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews who loved and will miss her deeply. If you knew Ann you’ll remember her most for her warmth, sharp wit and the joy that being surrounded by family brought her. She spent many years in Germany at US Army posts during her husband’s 20 years of military service. Following Thomas’s service they returned to Worcester where they settled at their home on Jersey Drive where they lived for 50 years. All are welcome to gather with Ann’s family and friends Wednesday August 22nd from 5pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. A graveside service will be held Thursday August 23rd at 11:00am at Worcester County Memorial Park 217 Richards Avenue Paxton, MA 01512. In lieu of flowers please honor Ann with a memorial donation to The MA/NH Alzheimer’s Association Chapter 309 Waverly Oaks Road Waltham MA 02452 or to the charity of your choice.
