Anita (Polverari) Roy, 85, of N. Oxford died Wednesday, March 25th, in Christopher House after an illness.
She is survived by her son, Roger W. Roy and his wife Judy of Millbury, two grandchildren, Carol A. Roy of Millbury and David M. Roy of Worcester, and a sister, Viola Polverari of South Grafton.
She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Roy, a son Robert A. Roy, and sisters Louise Klocek and Annie Cote.
She was born in South Grafton and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Amelia (Dellasanta) Polverari. She was educated in Worcester schools, graduating from the former David Hale Fanning School for girls. She worked as a printing press operator for Woodbury's for over 25 years prior to retiring.
Her interests included spending time at Senior Centers, line dancing, playing cards and building puzzles. She was an avid traveler and for years spent her winters in Florida.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4-7 PM Friday in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. Auburn. Her funeral will be held Saturday from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St. North, Auburn. Following cremation, burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park.
