Angeline M. (Bulanavicius) Kofton, 94, of Parsons Hill Nursing Center, 1350 Main St, formerly of Shrewsbury, died October 20 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. Her husband of 56 years, Alexander Kofton died in 1989.

She leaves a son, Edward G. Kofton and his wife Maria of Rutland; three grandchildren, Linda Gasperini of Union, CT, Cheryl Kofton of Newton; and Brian Kofton of New Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Savannah Kofton and Sean Gasperini.

She was born in Ware, a daughter of Alexander and Mary (Gieldowska) Bulanavicius and lived in Lithuania before returning here at 16 to live in Worcester. She lived here until moving to Shrewsbury in 1977.

Mrs. Kofton was an assembler 28 years for Rexnord Chain Belt, Auburn and retired in 1979. She was a former member of St. Anne Church, Shrewsbury.

The funeral will be held today, Monday, October 23 from HENRY–DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 258 Main St., Rutland. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Mon., Oct. 23 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
