Subscription Update Obituary

     Andrew A. “Butch” Bjorkman, III, 70, of West Boylston, died on Friday, August 24th 2012, in the Christopher House Nursing Home after an illness.
     Butch was born in Worcester, son of the late Andrew A. and Claire E. (Roy) Bjorkman. He graduated from Assumption Preparatory School and Saint Michael’s College in 1965. Butch worked in the accounting field for his entire career and spent 25 years with General Motors and 12 years with the City of Worcester Public Schools.
     Mr. Bjorkman is survived by a brother, James P. Bjorkman of Worcester; an aunt, Mildred Snow and her husband Paul of Worcester; four nieces and nephews, Annette Bjorkman, Michael, James “Jay and Richard Bjorkman and many friends, including Daniel Daly and his wife Mary of Shrewsbury and several cousins.
     Butch was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in West Boylston and enjoyed many things in life. He was an enthusiastic Atlanta Braves fan and loved all sports. Mr. Bjorkman was an exceptional golfer and spent time working at the International Golf Club & Resort in Bolton. Butch was known to be a man with a big heart and would do anything in his power to help children.
     The funeral will be held on Monday, August 27th at 10 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Sunday, August 26th from 2 to 4 in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Memorial contributions in memory of Butch may be made to Feed the Children PO Box 36 Oklahoma City, OK 73101.
