Subscription Update Obituary

     Andrew A. Bercume, 83, of 71 No. Spencer Rd., died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Life Care Center of Auburn.
     He leaves a son, John A. Bercume of Worcester; four daughters, Cynthia Prouty and her husband Charles, Linda Faucher and her husband Donald, Karen Bercume, Debra Kelly, all of Spencer; a sister, Carmella Germain of Worcester; 3 grandsons, Keith and Jamie Faucher, Sam Prouty; 7 great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ethan, Brody, Ryan, Maya, Meredith, Audrey; and several nieces and nephews.
     Born in Spencer, he was the son of Andrew L. & Mary (Pullaro) Bercume.
Mr. Bercume was a graduate of David Prouty High School. He served his country in the Army during WW II. He worked in quality control for 34 years at Reed Rolled Thread Die Co. in Holden. He was a member for 38 years of the Knights of Columbus # 118 in Spencer.
He was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish in Spencer and was a past usher. He was an avid fan of Holy Cross College Basketball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood and watching “Judge Judy”.
     He courageously fought death.
     The Funeral will be Thursday, September 27 from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer.
     A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Central MA Chapter for Homeless Veterans, 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
