Andre J. Roy, 82, died very peacefully Friday, September 12th at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, surrounded by his family.

He was the husband of Kathleen M. (Healy) Roy who died in 2022. He leaves a daughter, Nicole D. Allen and her husband Matthew of East Brookfield, a son, Gerald Roy of Spencer, a brother, Norbert Roy of West Brookfield, two sisters, Frances Haltiner of Molino, FL., Diane Aoun and her husband Joseph of Ventura CA., five grandchildren; Jared Toth, Olivia Roy, Kaitlyn Allen, Bridget Allen, Blake Roy, a great-grandson, William Toth and a great grandson on the way. He leaves behind many loved nieces and nephews. 

He also leaves his new partner in life, Polly Teixeira of Brookfield. He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Claude Roy.

Born in Hartford, CT., he was the son of Henry J. & Irene E. (Noel) Roy. Mr. Roy was an operator engineer for 25 years with the Local 4 Union, retiring in 2009. Prior to that he worked at Tupco Inc as a die maker. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Spencer, the Knights of Columbus and was recently working at the Spencer Senior Citizens Center.

He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, creating diamond art paintings and working with his Bobcat skid steer.

His greatest love by far was his family and friends. The family would like to thank the Staff of the CCU at Memorial Hospital for their amazing care of Andre while he was there. The funeral will be held Thursday, September 18th from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer, with a Mass at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
