Subscription Update Obituary

     Aline T. (Muir) Moore, 90, formerly of Hamilton St., died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 in St. Mary Health Care Center. Her husband, William F. Moore, Jr., died in 1988.

     She leaves a sister, Yvette D. Muir of Sarasota, FL; nieces and nephews and her very dear friends at St. Mary Health Care Center. She was predeceased by two sisters, A. Rita Gregarczyk and Jacqueline B. Romanas. Aline was born in Marlborough, daughter of Ernest W. and M. Therese (Chaigneau) Muir and has lived in Worcester for most of her life.

     Mrs. Moore was a clerk supervisor for Harrington & Richardson, Inc. and worked there for 45 years before retiring. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Church – Holy Family Parish and was a lifetime member of Grafton Hill Post 323 American Legion Auxiliary. Aline was also past president of Parley District 4 American Legion. Aline's passion was volunteering to help those in need who had dedicated their lives to serve their country. She volunteered through the American Legion and earned recognition and awards for her service of over 12,000 hours at Rutland Heights Hospital, the Belmont Home and Christopher House. In 1988 she received the key to the City of Worcester for outstanding service to veterans.

     The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 17 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, Dec. 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Because of the wonderful care Aline received her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Mary Health Care Center, 39 Queen St., Worcester, Ma., 01610.
