Subscription Update Obituary

     Alice P. (Domigian) Mard, 84, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 peacefully with her family by her side. Alice’s husband of 25 years, Dr. Francis A. Mard, PhD passed away in 1993. She leaves her beloved son David F. Mard of Woodstock, CT; two adored grandchildren, Michael and Elizabeth; her sister, Martha J. Domenico of Worcester; her niece, Jean Rogers of Amherst, NH and nephew, Philip Domenico of Dallas, TX.

     Alice was born in Worcester the daughter of Harry and Regina (Eminian) Domigian. She graduated from Commerce High School and attended the Salter School. Alice worked as an administrative medical secretary for Stuart Strong, M.D. in Boston and for Willard Rice, M.D. in Worcester. Before retiring, Alice worked as a Receptionist and Secretary at Colony Retirement Community on Grove Street where she was a helpful friend to many residents. Alice was a lifelong member of St. Christopher’s Church and belonged to its Retired Club. Upon moving to the Briarwood Community, Alice spent a lot of time volunteering and helping other residents. Alice was a pleasant, social and caring person who will be greatly missed by everyone’s life she touched.

     Visiting hours for Alice will be held on Friday, February 7th from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 8th at 10:00 am at St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Burial will be at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Residents Assistance Fund c/o Briarwood Continuing Care Retirement Community, 65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester, MA 01606.
