Subscription Update Obituary

   Alice D. (Lamarche) Spring, 80, of Auburn, formerly of Worcester, died Sunday, January 4, 2009 in the Rose Monahan Hospice, 10 Judith Rd, Worcester. Her husband, Albert J. Spring died in 1987.

   She leaves two sons, Gary J. Spring of Spencer and William F. Spring of Worcester; two daughters, Gloria J. Honney of Worcester and Sheila A. Walsh of Sturbridge; two sisters, Rose Sorel and Mary Polli both of Worcester; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Alan K. Spring, a daughter, Gail D. Penny and a brother, Ernest Lamarche. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Emery E. and Alice H. (Faucher) Lamarche.

   Mrs. Spring was a machine operator many years and retired from PresMet Corp. Previously, she worked for Sprague Electric Co. Alice was a member of St. John Church, Worcester and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing bingo.

   The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 8 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 am in St. John Church, 40 Temple St, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held Thursday, January 8 from 9:00 to 10:00 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life Care Center of Auburn, Patient Activity Fund, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, Ma., 01501.
