Subscription Update Obituary

    Albin F. "Al" Belevick, Jr., 78, died Saturday, January 16.

    He leaves his beloved wife of 52 years, Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Zolnowski) Belevick; his son, Gregg K. Belevick of Worcester; two daughters, Allison Belevick of Millbury and Claudia-Beth Jalowka and her husband Joseph of Broad Brook, CT and two grandchildren, Alexander and Gregory Jalowka.

    He was born in Worcester, the son of Albin and Anele (Meleika) Belevick. Mr. Belevick attended Classical High School and graduated from Sanborn Prep School in New Hampshire and Clark University. He was a Korean War veteran serving with the Army. He worked as a junior city planner for the City of Worcester for many years before retiring. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, the American Legion and loved Geography.

    The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Autumn Village Nursing Home and UMass Memorial Hospice for the excellent care given to Albin.

    The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 20 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, January 19 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on the morning of the funeral in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 or UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605.
