Subscription Update Obituary

     Albert J. Kamosky, 88, of Worcester died Friday, November 2, 2012. His beloved wife of forty-nine years, Irene (Amons) Kamosky died in 1996. He is survived by his children, James Kamosky and his wife Rebecca Knapp of Princeton, and Eileen Standing Bear and her husband Craig of Oxford; grandchildren, Brian Fisher of Hudson, NH, Eric Fisher of Leominster, Coleen O’Hara of Worcester, James Kamosky Jr. of Rutland, Jason Kamosky, Jessica Kamosky both of Worcester, and Hallie Kamosky of Princeton.
     Mr. Kamosky was a kiln fireman for Norton Company for forty three years prior to retiring. He was a proud US Marine Corps veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre on the islands of Saipan and Tinian as a anti-aircraft battery mechanic. He was the Corporal of the Guard of the Enola Gay the night before its mission to Hiroshima. Albert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was also lucky enough to find love a second time in the years following Irene’s death and was a faithful companion to Nancy Johnson of Rutland for 14 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed time with family and friends, repairing and rebuilding engines in his garage, and going to the ocean in Ogunquit Maine and harbors along the NE coast to watch the ships come and go.
     The graveside funeral service will be Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m in Worcester County Memorial Park, immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Treasure Valley Scout Reservation c/o Mohegan Council of BSA, 19 Harvard St., Worcester, MA 01609.
