Subscription Update Obituary

    Alan M. Gormly, 70, of Shady Ln., Templeton, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Leominster after an illness.

    Alan, son of the late Alan L. and Marion (Monroe) Gormly, was born in Worcester on June 13, 1940, and lived here many years. Alan was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Holden High School, class of 1958 and he received his degree from Bryant College. Alan was a member of the Green Mountain Club and was an avid hiker and enjoyed gardening.

    He is survived by one aunt; Virginia Jansson of Gardner and several cousins including Ruth Florence and her husband Randy of Gardner.

    A private visitation will be held in the Community Chapel of Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner followed by burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lamoureux Fletcher and Smith Funeral Home, Gardner.
