Agnes I. (Griffin) Quaglieri, 78,of Shrewsbury and formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, January 5, 2007, in St. Vincent Hospital, after a short illness. Her husband of 41 years, Michael Quaglieri, died in 1998.

   She leaves a sister, Barbara Trombley of Columbia, Maine and many nephews and nieces. Her sister, Mary Dupre died last Thursday in N.H. Her brother, Daniel J. Griffin, died in 2001. Her sister, Claire Hallisey died in 1998.

   Agnes was born in Manchester, N.H., daughter of John J. and Catherine (Fullen) Griffin. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade High School, and was the first woman custodian for the Worcester Public Schools.

  Agnes was a devoted aunt, and lived a very active life. She especially enjoyed vacationing in Maine. She was a member of St. Anne's Church.

   Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Monday, Jan. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, Jan. 8 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike (Rt. 9), Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
